Porter

Porter is a dark, rich beer known for its smooth, roasty flavor profile. Typically ranging from 4% to 6% ABV, porters are characterized by their deep brown to nearly black color, with aromas and flavors of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and sometimes caramel or toffee. The malt-forward nature of porters offers a range of rich, toasted notes, while hop bitterness is usually moderate, allowing the malt character to take center stage. The body is medium to full, and the mouthfeel can range from smooth to slightly creamy. Some porters may also exhibit subtle dark fruit flavors or a mild sweetness, making them well-suited for colder weather or pairing with hearty, flavourful food.
