Old Chimneys Brewery was started in 1995 by Alan Thomson, a Master Brewer who celebrated 40 years of brewing in 2017.

Alan closed the brewery in 2019 and is now semi-retired, brewing collaborations at other breweries. Good King Henry, Old Chimneys’ renowned Imperial Stout, is brewed with Grain Brewery in Norfolk.
