Click & Collect relaunches Monday 15th June

Click & Collect relaunches Monday 15th June.

It’s been two and a half months since we first published our Covid-19 precautions and we said at the time that we would keep you informed of any changes as things developed.

On 23rd March Boris Johnson announced that all non essential shops had to close and despite us being considered essential Nottingham City Council took the decision to close Flying Horse Walk forcing us to move our business entirely online.

Your response to this has been amazing and at times overwhelming, but we thank each and every one of you for your continued support. We’ve furloughed the staff so Matt has been running the operation himself, building boxes, picking and boxing orders, booking couriers and printing labels, not to mention ordering new stock to replace the beer you lot keep buying (!) alongside all the usual admin and the added headache of navigating the HMRC Furlough system. But the mountain of orders has made it all worthwhile, so thank you, you’ve all helped us through a real difficult period of uncertainty.

Last week Boris Johnson made a further announcement that non essential retail can reopen on June 15th, and it is with great pleasure that I can now announce that we will be able to begin taking click & collect orders with immediate effect as the arcade plans to reopen on that date.

There will of course be social distancing measures in place throughout the arcade, with each shop having clear markings outside for safe queuing. We will be operating from the door, where you will be asked to provide your name so we can pick your order and pass it to you.

For the time being we cannot allow anyone into the shop. We simply can’t see a way of doing this safely and in order to protect you and our staff we will operate this way until we feel it is safe to return to normal.

This means that all orders must go through the website. When you have filled your basket and entered your address you will be presented with shipping options. If you wish for us to deliver the beer to you choose APC Fragile Items Service, and remember that shipping is FREE on orders of £50 or more. If you plan to collect then choose Collect From Shop.

ALL orders must be placed before you arrive at the store, and we ask that you leave at least 15 minutes before arriving to give us time to pick the order.

We will not under any circumstances allow you to browse stock, or stand outside peering in trying to see what we have. This just isn’t safe at the moment. All the stock is on our website so all the information you need will be right there.

To begin with collection times will be Monday-Sunday 11am-4pm.

We hope to extend this in July when furlough changes come in to effect and we can begin to bring staff back part time, but for now Matt will be running this click and collect service by himself on top of all the other daily jobs as mentioned above and he’d quite like to be able to spend some time with his 3 month old daughter so please be patient with us while we adjust to a new way of working.

Orders can be placed right now, with collection available from 12pm on Monday 15th June, subject to any changes implemented by the government before then.

To coincide with the relaunch of Click & Collect we are taking pre-orders for Black Iris Mini Kegs. These will initially only be available for Click & Collect and numbers are limited so if you’d like one get your order in now!

If you have any questions relating to Click & Collect, or anything else, drop Matt an email at [email protected]

We look forward to seeing you again soon!
