Bechstein’s Bat has pale to reddish-brown fur with a greyish underbelly and a pink face. A rarity in the UK, found only in south Wales and parts of southern England. The UK is at the northernmost edge if its distribution.
The style of this beer is based on the name of the bat, since it evokes thoughts of a brew fermented for a relatively long time at a low temperature and served in a stein. Notwithstanding, this is a well-crafted, balanced and flavoursome beer for its type. How rare is that?
