Description

Hard Rain Hopped 2020. Made in the ‘Piquette’ style, also historically known as Ciderkin; where a second pressing of the apples is done with the addition of water. In this case, spontaneously fermented Egremont Russet apple juice was infused with both Cascade & Bramling Cross hops, grown next door to Little Pomona’s cidery. This is an instantly refreshing cider/beer hybrid, with the Cascade hops – a UK version of the US classic – bringing plenty of citrus, whilst the Bramling Cross lends a leafy note & some subtle berry fruits. The Egremont Russet, strong of personality, has the very essence of appley-ness, which marries well to the hops, creating what becomes basically a bone dry, fresh & racy shandy!
