Surely it is an unwritten rule and undeniable truth?* However, this beer does not contain any bacon, it is a Rauchbier, the style of beer that has put Bamburg, Germany on the beer map. Made with 100% Beechwood smoked malt, a few small additions of Apollo and Magnum hops and then fermented with a nice lager yeast… But is that bacon I smell? No! Get over it**
